Health and safety
Principles of health and safety The board is committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for all employees and others affected by Hexindo’s works. The managing director of each division is responsible for ensuring that formal health and safety policies are developed, published and maintained and that organizational arrangements for health and safety management are established and maintained in the businesses within their division. Responsibility for implementing the health and safety policies rests with the line management of each business whilst each individual employee has a responsibility for complying with the policy. As a minimum standard, local policies and organizational arrangements for health and safety must include compliance with all legal requirements and the creation of a safety awareness culture by encouraging employee involvement in health and safety matters.
Health & Safety performance in 2006 1. Hexindo - Bontang Project was chosen as the Best SHE Performance/Best Partnership Award for year 2006 by Pama-Bontang. This award is based on our SHE performance and is being evaluated every three months.
2. Hexindo - Adaro Project was awarded Best Safety (K3&LH) Performance for the 1st semester 2006 and the 3rd trimester 2006 period at the Pama-Adaro Project.
3. Hexindo - Sangatta Project achieve recognitions from KPC Sangatta for our performance in achieving “2 Million Lost Time Injury Free" since September 3rd 2002 until October 3rd 2006.
